who is this group for?
Solo Mamas is a monthly support space where you can meet other mothers who are also navigating solo parenthood. It is a place to share your stories, vent, seek support, or simply step out of your usual routine. Whether you are separated, divorced, co-parenting, or chose to start a family on your own, you are welcome. This space is for you.
what to expect?
The facilitator, Jasmine, is bilingual, and the meeting formats vary from month to month. Some sessions are open discussions where everyone can share freely, while others focus on guided themes proposed by Jasmine. If there are topics you would like to propose, we are always open to hearing your ideas.
Can we bring our kids?
Young babies are welcome, though we really encourage having older children cared for when possible so that you can speak freely in a safe and supportive environment.
We will soon have an educator available in the same building, in a separate room, for a small fee if you do not have someone to watch your child or children. Space with the educator is limited and requires advance notice. Please allow at least 48 hours notice if you will need this service.

Jasmine Lemelin is a doula and birth companion within the La mère à boire team. She is also a parental leadership coach, supporting parents in creating systems that help them rediscover the joy of parenting with children who collaborate and listen.
A mother of two young children, Jasmine deeply understands the challenges of solo motherhood. She now leads our monthly support group for solo moms, where she offers concrete and compassionate workshops on topics such as mental load, emotional intelligence, self-prioritization and healthy communication in coparenting.
Her approach is warm, direct and deeply transformative. She believes every mother deserves to feel free, supported and powerful in her role.
