Karène Chevriot- Valladeau

Karène Chevriot- Valladeau is a lactation consultant certified by the IBCLC International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners) since 2011.

A mother of 3, her passion for perinatal care was revealed during her first pregnancy and has never left her.

For almost 18 years, she has been involved with both families and the community, supporting and promoting breastfeeding.

Having worked for 8 years in the field of counselling before becoming passionate about perinatal care, she puts her experience, listening skills and empathy at the service of parents and their babies.

She is trained to deal with complex cases, having worked in a breastfeeding clinic at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. In particular, she has developed special expertise in the assessment and support of babies with restrictive oral tissues (tongue and lip brakes, etc.).

A student at heart, she keeps abreast of the latest scientific research in perinatal care and takes part in numerous continuing education courses on breastfeeding every year.

She puts her professional and interpersonal skills, as well as her passion, at your service. She will accompany you with respect, empathy and flexibility, as close as possible to your breastfeeding project, whatever it may be. Her practice is inclusive, and she is committed to helping you in a way that respects the very essence of who you are.

Melyssa De Simone

Melyssa De Simone is a Bachelors Certified Nurse since 2011 and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2023. She has spent the last 8 years specializing in women’s health and breastfeeding. She currently works in the New Breastfeeding Clinic at the Royal Victoria Hospital, and on the postpartum/antepartum unit as a Registered Nurse and Lactation Consultant. Due to the high risk population that delivers at the Royal Victoria Hospital, her knowledge and know-how about both the normal and complex breastfeeding situations is quite advanced.

Her passion for breastfeeding started when she held her first baby skin to skin and experienced the joy and elation that comes with feeding your baby from your own body. From there, she went on to have 2 more children and continued spreading her knowledge with patients, friends, family, and in the community.

Melyssa believes that breastfeeding is more than just a way to feed your baby - it's a special bond between mother and child that can last a lifetime. That's why she is dedicated to helping you achieve your breastfeeding goals in a way that works for you and your family. She is here to offer support and guidance in a professional and compassionate way. She believes in empowering women to make informed decisions about their breastfeeding journey.

Welcome to the team!.
